Difference in price of IDR 200,000, this is the difference between Oppo A74 5G and A74

KOMPAS.com – Oppo launched two new A series phones in Indonesia, namely the A74 5G and the “regular” A74 with 4G connectivity. The price difference between the two is IDR 200,000, where the Oppo A74 5G is sold at IDR 3,699,000 and the A74 is sold at IDR 3,499,000.

The difference between the two is not only limited to support for 5G connectivity, but also in a number of other things such as system-on-chip, screen size, to camera configuration and fast charging. Here is the list.

1. Different kitchen runway

The Oppo A74 5G is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G, while the A74 relies on Snapdragon 662 which does not have 5G connectivity.

The Snapdragon 480 5G itself is Qualcomm’s first 400 series chip that already has 5G capabilities and is aimed at relatively affordable priced phones.

The Snapdragon 480 5G has a CPU array consisting of 2 × 2.0 GHz Kryo 460 and 6 × 1.8 GHz Kryo 460, along with the Adreno 619 GPU and the Snapdragon X51 modem which supports the sub-6 GHz and mmWave frequency spectrum.

Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 662 chipset embedded in the regular A74 has a CPU configuration of 4 × 2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold and 4 × 1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver), along with the Adreno 610 GPU.

2. Different fingerprint scanners

The second difference is in the placement of the fingerprint scanner sensor for the device security system. In the regular Oppo A74, the fingerprint scanner sensor is embedded in the screen. Meanwhile, the Oppo A74 5G has a fingerprint scanner feature on the side of the cellphone.

3. Different power fast charging

Both the Oppo A74 5G and the regular version are equipped with a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh and fast charging.

However, the amount of power supported for fast charging this is different. The Oppo A74 5G can charge a battery with up to 18 watts of power, while the regular A74 is higher at 33 watts.

4. Different screens

Even though they look similar, the screens of the two phones are also different. The Oppo A74 5G uses a 6.4-inch (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) IPS LCD panel with refresh rate 90 Hz and aspect ratio 20: 9.
